Lady Gaga Announces New Album Mayhem, Set for March Release

Lady Gaga has officially unveiled her long-awaited seventh studio album, Mayhem. The 14-track project, previously teased as LG7, will be released on March 7 via Interscope. A new single will debut on February 2, with its music video premiering during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

The album marks Gaga’s return to the high-energy pop sound that defined her early career. She took on executive production duties alongside Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt, with contributions from producers Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein.

Speculation about the Chromatica follow-up intensified last September when Lady Gaga hinted at a 2025 release while promoting Joker: Folie à Deux. Shortly after, she released the single “Disease” along with a music video, setting the stage for the upcoming album. Additional teasers, including a billboard in Times Square and a countdown on her website, led up to the official announcement.

The album will also feature her 2024 collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile,” which, along with “Disease,” bookends the currently unannounced tracklist. In the months leading up to the album’s reveal, Gaga covered “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” performed at a Kamala Harris election rally, and secured a headline slot at this year’s Coachella.

During her last interviews , she reflected on the personal journey behind the album, describing it as an exploration of emotional depth through music. She emphasized how the creative process allowed her to confront challenges and translate them into her artistry.

With Mayhem now officially on the way, fans can anticipate a dynamic new chapter in Lady Gaga’s ever-evolving career.
