On June 2, 2024, NPR showcased Tems‘ electrifying return to the Tiny Desk concert series, where she performed tracks from her upcoming debut album ‘Born In The Wild‘. Accompanied by her live band, Tems kicked off the show with her nominated song ‘Me & U’ from the 2024 BET Awards in the Best Gospel/Inspiration category.
She continued the show with ‘Ice T’ from her debut EP ‘For Broken Ears’, and treated the audience to ‘Unfortunate’, a new RnB track from her album. Tems also introduced ‘Forever’, a vibrant blend of Cathy Funk, Jazz, and Rumba, offering a sneak peek into the diverse sounds of ‘Born In The Wild’.
The performance wrapped up with ‘Love Me Jeje’, her latest single that remixes the beloved Nigerian tune by Seyi Sodimu & Shaffy Bello.
Set for release on June 7, 2024, ‘Born In The Wild’ will feature 18 tracks, including collaborations with Nigerian superstar Asake and American rapper J Cole.
