Rising singer Maeta has unveiled her latest project, When I Hear Your Name (Live), a seven-track compilation featuring live versions of songs from her earlier release this year. These live renditions include performances from her tours across North America, the U.K., and Europe.

The compilation includes live versions of project tracks such as Clarity and Control Freak featuring Ambré. The set concludes with the captivating performance of Through The Night featuring Free Nationals, a track produced by Camper with co-songwriting credits from Lucky Daye and Elijah Blake. “Through The Night” reached the top 10 on R&B radio and Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, currently holding the No. 8 position.

Accompanying the release, Maeta has also shared a stripped-down video for Sexual featuring James Fauntleroy. The video complements the acoustic vibe of the song, offering a more intimate experience for listeners.

Maeta’s rising single and the focus of the live compilation, Through The Night, was performed at the 2023 Soul Train Awards last month. The track showcases Maeta’s successful collaboration with Free Nationals.

The original album, When I Hear Your Name, was released on June 9 by Roc Nation Records and includes 13 tracks, featuring hits like “S(EX)” and Questions,” the latter produced by Kaytranada.

Maeta, known for her soulful and introspective approach to music, expressed her desire to explore the complexities of love in the project. She stated, “I want to show that love is complicated and it’s okay not to know why you feel the way you do. That’s one thing I’ve been trying to figure out. I think that we have to accept the fact that love is hard and complicated. And that’s what the project shows. I hope it comforts people who are going through that.”

The live compilation, When I Hear Your Name (Live), offers a fresh perspective on Maeta’s acclaimed tracks, providing listeners with an immersive and dynamic experience.
