Award-winning singer and songwriter Marsha Ambrosius has graced the music scene once again, releasing her latest single, “The Greatest.” The track, co-produced with industry heavyweights including Dr. Dre, Dem Jointz, Focus…, Trevor Lawrence Jr., and Erik “Bluetooth” Griggs, is the first glimpse into her highly anticipated album, Casablanco, set to be released under Aftermath Records/Interscope Records.

In “The Greatest,” Ambrosius pours her soul into lyrics that celebrate her partner as the epitome of the greatest love she has ever known. The song’s hip-hop soul production is adorned with cinematic strings and twinkling piano, creating a melodic masterpiece.

The release of “The Greatest” follows Ambrosius’ noteworthy participation in the 2023 Soul Train Awards, where she joined forces with Nicci Gilbert, Eric Bellinger, and Arin Ray for an unforgettable Soul Cypher.

The soulful songstress has been dropping hints about her upcoming album, Casablanco, since December 2021 when she first teased the project through an Instagram post alongside Dr. Dre in a recording studio. While a release date for the album is yet to be announced, “The Greatest” sets the stage for what promises to be a remarkable musical journey.

Casablanco will be a significant addition to Ambrosius’ discography, succeeding her 2018 album, NYLA, named after her daughter. The album featured production by Harmony Samuels, The Stereotypes, Focus, and others. Reflecting on NYLA, Ambrosius described the album as a therapeutic outlet, allowing her to channel pent-up energy into music and embark on a personal journey of release and rediscovery.

As fans eagerly await the release of Casablanco, Marsha Ambrosius has treated them to a series of live performances. Beginning December 5, 2023, Ambrosius will kick off her mini-tour at City Winery locations across the U.S. The tour promises intimate and soulful performances, providing audiences with a taste of what’s to come from the talented artist.
