R&B artist Ledisi has released a new single titled “Sell Me No Dreams,” where she candidly addresses the need for transparency in romantic relationships. In the song, Ledisi urges her love interest to be clear about their intentions, emphasizing her desire for a committed and genuine connection.
The lyrics express her straightforward approach to love, stating, “If you gon’ love me, then love me / If you gon’ leave me, then leave me / Don’t leave me hangin’ / Don’t sell me no dreams / If I give a hundred don’t give me half back / ‘Cause I’m not going to let you love me like that.”
Co-produced by G.A.D. and Shoji, “Sell Me No Dreams” follows Ledisi’s previous soulful release, “I Need To Know,” which topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for two weeks. Both tracks are set to be featured on Ledisi’s upcoming album, yet to be titled, scheduled for release via Listen Back Entertainment and BMG.

Ledisi’s musical journey has been marked by success, with her 2020 album The Wild Card earning her a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance for the hit “Anything For You.” In 2021, she continued to make waves with two releases: Ledisi Live at the Troubadour and Ledisi Sings Nina, the latter earning a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
As she prepares for the release of her upcoming album, Ledisi is gearing up for “The Good Life Tour,” where she will headline alongside special guests Raheem DeVaughn and BJ The Chicago Kid, starting in March 2024.
