Award-winning musical director and bassist Adam Blackstone has unveiled his first holiday album, A Legacy Christmas, offering a jazz-infused take on Christmas classics and original winter-themed compositions. The 10-track album features notable collaborations with artists such as Boyz II Men, Andra Day, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more.
Some standout tracks from the album include Blackstone’s unique versions of joyful favorites like “Little Drummer Boy,” featuring BJ The Chicago Kid, and “Joy To The World,” featuring gospel vocalist Lena Byrd Miles. The album also includes noteworthy tunes such as “Greatest Gift,” featuring Boyz II Men, and “Legacy Christmas Time,” featuring Andra Day.

The lead single, “Christmas Kisses,” showcases Keke Palmer‘s playful plot to steal a kiss from Santa Claus.
Adam Blackstone is scheduled to perform at NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center on November 29 at 8 p.m. ET. His holiday performances extend to the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York on November 27 and December 6.
Blackstone has received two Grammy Award nominations at the upcoming 66th Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 4. He is nominated for Best Jazz Performance for “Vulnerable (Live)” and Best Jazz Instrumental Album for Legacy: The Instrumental Jawn.
