The release of “Miracle” precedes the debut of Candy Cane Lane, a festive movie starring Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross. Directed by Reginald Hudlin and written by Kelly Younger, the film is set to be available on Prime Video worldwide starting December 1.
This new release marks Raphael Saadiq’s return to the music scene, following his feature on Nanna.B’s “Too Much” last year and his contribution of the original song “My Path” for the Nancy Buirski film A Crime On The Bayou. Saadiq has been actively involved in creating music for soundtracks, including projects like Netflix’s From Scratch and Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
While Candy Cane Lane showcases Saadiq’s musical talents for a holiday-themed film, fans can also anticipate a new project from his R&B trio Tony! Toni! Toné! An album is currently in the works, and Saadiq has confirmed the band’s plans to release new music after concluding their reunion tour, Just Me & You, which concluded earlier this month.
Listen to “Miracle” below, and experience the festive spirit through Raphael Saadiq and Kelli-Leigh’s collaboration.
