R&B sensation Leela James joins forces with fellow soulful crooner Kevin Ross for a captivating remix of her hit single, “Right Back In It.”

Ross takes center stage in the second verse and sprinkles ad-libs throughout the track, adding his signature touch to James’ soulful sound.
The original version of “Right Back In It” served as the lead single from James’ latest album, Thought U Knew, which is already making waves since its release. The song’s cinematic music video has garnered over 1.1 million views on YouTube, showcasing its visual and musical appeal.
In a statement, James expressed the significance of the track, saying, “My music is my art, and I’m always excited to share my craft with the world. ‘Right Back In It’ is special as it highlights the importance of getting back to yourself, getting back to love, and getting back to what makes you feel good.“
Produced by Rex Rideout, “Right Back In It” achieved Top 10 status on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart in October, marking James’ fourth Top 10 hit on this chart.
Thought U Knew, released on October 27 via She Sangz Music, Inc./BMG, features nine tracks, including a collaboration with rap veteran Yo-Yo. This album follows her acclaimed 2021 release, “See Me,” which secured a spot on Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021 list.
Kevin Ross, on the other hand, dropped his EP, Midnight Microdose, Vol. 2, on September 15, following the release of Vol. 1 in May. Both EPs are expected to be bundled into a full-length album, “Midnight Microdose,” which will include bonus tracks. However, the release date for Ross’ upcoming album is yet to be confirmed.
