Muni Long had previously achieved a top 10 hit with her song “Honey” in fall 2022, which was a duet from John Legend‘s album, LEGEND.
Muni Long made her debut as a lead artist at R&B radio with the viral single “Hrs and Hrs,” which climbed to No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart and received a Grammy award.
In addition to her success on the R&B radio chart, “Made For Me” has also reached No. 9 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart and No. 26 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. The song has garnered over 1.2 million streams on Spotify since its release on September 15 via Supergiant Records/Def Jam Recordings.
“Made For Me” was co-written by Muni Long, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, and Jordan XL. The song was vocally produced by Kuk Harrell, known for his work with artists like Rihanna and Tamar Braxton.
This single is Muni Long’s first release of new music since her 2022 album, Public Displays of Affection: The Album, which peaked at No. 21 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart.
