BJ The Chicago Kid has teamed up with Coco Jones for a fresh and enticing single titled “Spend the Night,” produced by the talented Yeti Beats.
This track sets the stage for a lively party atmosphere as BJ The Chicago Kid extends an alluring invitation to a potential love interest for an intimate night together. With lyrics like “Rollin’ around from the floor to the bed / Can’t get you out of my mind / You live free in my head / Stuck inside a lucid dream / Everything’s what it seems,” BJ serenades with passion and desire.
Coco Jones gracefully enters during the second verse, playfully singing, “It’s the way that your body is all on my body / Boy, it’s a party.”
BJ The Chicago Kid shares his thoughts on this new song, stating, “Music is like a journey, and with our new song, we’ve taken an exciting detour from our standard sounds. It’s an experimental experience. Sometimes, you have to wander off the beaten path to discover a whole new world of creativity.”
Coco Jones adds her perspective, saying, “Working with BJ was such an awesome experience. I am always so inspired by artists who love what they do. I think this song, with our tones together, is something really special.”
Yeti Beats, the producer, expresses his honor in working on this collaboration, which draws inspiration from classic soul duets. He notes, “This record showcases both BJ and Coco’s unique soulful voices over an unexpected uptempo groove. Coco and BJ delivered a timeless R&B soul record we can dance to.”
“Spend The Night” follows BJ The Chicago Kid’s previous singles, including “Liquor Store” featuring Freddie Gibbs and “Forget Your Name” featuring Cory Henry. All three tracks are set to appear on BJ’s upcoming collaborative album with Yeti Beats, to be released on Yeti’s Reach The World Records and RCA Records.

BJ The Chicago Kid’s new partnership with Reach The World and RCA was announced in May, and RCA Records expressed their excitement, stating, “With Yeti lending his creative magic to some of the biggest acts in the world, and BJ the Chicago Kid being the seasoned soulful and distinguished voice in R&B he’s become, RCA could not have been more excited to get behind this bold and unique collaborative project.”
Yeti Beats reveals the inspiration behind their upcoming album, noting, “This project is a dream manifested into reality for me. I had the idea of producing a record influenced by the music of my favorite soul singer, Al Green, and recording it with a live band. Traveling to Memphis to record in his studio was an immense honor for all of us.”
Their forthcoming project was recorded at Royal Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, an iconic studio where soul legend Al Green recorded his legendary albums Let’s Stay Together and I’m Still in Love with You.
This album marks BJ The Chicago Kid’s return following his 2019 LP, 1123, named after his birthday (Nov. 23), which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album.
Coco Jones recently concluded her headlining What I Didn’t Tell You Tour in support of her debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, which includes her chart-topping hit “ICU.”
