K. Michelle has revealed the release date and artwork for her final R&B album, I’m the Problem. The album is scheduled for release on September 22 via MNRK Records.

The album cover features K. Michelle seated on a bathroom floor next to a red cup, with a blurred-out object that appears to be a light-blue gun. The album’s title is written in red on the bathroom mirror.

K. Michelle described the album as “super emotional” and stated, “I’ve been healing through this album. I have dealt with my relationship through this album. I have dealt with my relationship with my son through this album. I have dealt with where I want to go in my future through this album.

She also released “Scooch,” the album’s first single, which reached No. 1 on R&B radio and Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart during the summer of 2022.

The album will include 19 tracks, making it her second longest album after 2017’s KIMBERLY: The People I Used to Know, which had 21 tracks and was her last album for Atlantic Records.

I’m the Problem is the follow-up to All Monsters Are Human, released in 2020, which featured collaborations with Kash Doll and Yung Miami of City Girls. It included the top 10 hit at R&B radio and Billboard, “The Rain.”

In addition to announcing the release date for her final R&B album, K. Michelle also treated fans to a new song titled “Blame Yourself.” The track carries a powerful message, as it narrates a story of a woman realizing that she’s merely another conquest for a playboy. she uses her music to offer some sage advice: “Stop giving all of you to somebody’s man.”

She is set to perform on the R&B Music Experience Tour this fall.
