Reggie Becton, the rising R&B star, has unveiled a new music video for his latest single “Life”. Directed by Chris Felix, the video showcases Becton’s debut into the world of dance. The visual features Becton and a woman dancing to the choreographed moves on a winding deck, emphasizing the song’s message of living life to the fullest.
Becton explains that he had a similar dance-inspired concept for a previous video, “Love Motion No. 9,” but it was ultimately shelved. The artist elaborates that he and his choreographer, Cherry, wanted to create something cool but not too flashy, that would showcase the intimacy of the song and not steal the spotlight from the music.
“We drew inspiration from legends like Aaliyah and Usher to capture that ‘effortless intentional’ dance performance feel, and I am impressed by how it turned out,” Becton shares.
“Life” is the first release from Becton this year and is part of his upcoming project, SadBoy, which is due to be released later in the year. With every visual he creates, Becton aims to channel the soulful vibes of R&B that first made him a fan, and his latest music video is no exception. The rising artist is determined to continue creating soulful R&B that resonates with his growing fan base.
