Initially set for Dec. 15, a representative for Kanye West informed Billboard of the rescheduled release on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.

Minaj’s response to West’s clearance request was unequivocal, stating, “Now regarding Kanye, that train has left the station, OK? No disrespect in any way, I just put out a brand new album. Now why would I put out a song that has been out for three years? Come on guys. You know?” West, addressing the rejection at a Vultures listening party, referenced their past collaboration on “Monster” and asserted his support for Minaj’s career.
