JUNG_E is a new South Korean apocalyptic film from the director of the major 2016 film ‘Train To Busan’, a movie that introduced Korean art to the world with over $100 million worldwide box office gross. JUNG_E is expected to be no less thrilling and emotional!
The film deals with dystopian Earth, as reported by NME: “Set in the 22nd century, JUNG_E is set in a dystopian future where climate change has caused Earth to become uninhabitable, and humans are forced to live in a man-made shelter. When a war erupts within the shelter, elite leader of the allied forces Jung-E (Kim Hyun-joo) becomes the subject of a brain cloning experiment – a key in winning the war.
“The new JUNG_E trailer introduces the high-tech dystopia of man-kind, where humans are being moved to man-made shelters built in space. When Jung-E sustains fatal injuries from the war, Seo Hyun and Sang-hun reveal her as a “heroine”, and decide to make her the subject of a brain cloning experiment to essentially bring her back to life as an enhanced soldier. JUNG_E is slated for a global Netflix premiere on January 20.”
