As you know, the annual Armenian Music Awards have been held in Los Angeles for several years now, with the participation of famous stylist-makeup artist Aga Kankanyan. This year she participated as well, sharing the impressions that she received with Asekose.am.

“This year, too, wasn’t an exception. In November, I was in the US with Armenian singers.
The event is undoubtedly one of the biggest and most important ones in Armenian show business, so I am happy to present myself both as a stylist-makeup-artist and as a guest, handing in the prize to the nomination winners with pleasure. Those days in the USA are usually very busy, as it provides an excellent opportunity to meet friends and close people once again, have a great time together, and come back with positive emotions.”

To the author’s note that this year’s trip created new partnerships and acquaintances with world-known stylists, Aga answered that this trip was truly fruitful and impressive.

“This time my trip was memorable for another reason too. I am sure that all those who are interested in makeup and fashion in general, have heard the name, Scott Barnes. Today, renowned stylist-makeup artist Scott Barnes is one of the leaders in the field whose tricks have gained wide popularity and application worldwide.

For example, contouring has been a widely used method in recent years; we found out more about it thanks to Kim Kardashian. Scott Barnes works with world stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, and others. During the stay in the US, we had the opportunity to meet and chat with Scott Barnes and famous stylist-hairdresser Francesco Galasso. The latter also collaborates with famous artists. The meeting was quite impressive and fruitful. They were wonderful people, direct and sincere. Scott gladly introduced his new tricks, and talked about the trends. The official meeting quickly turned into a friendly conversation. It was also a great honor for me to receive nominal gifts from Scott.
