Ari Lennox is taking a sabbatical from social media before the release of her sophomore album, age/sex/location, on September 9. She isn’t, however, forsaking her fans. The Washington, D.C. native recently released Away Message, a surprise EP.
Away Message includes five songs, including the Summer Walker-assisted “Queen Space,” which was released earlier today. The other songs are “Tatted,” “Gummy,” “No Settling,” and “Bitter,” all of which feature J. Cole, her Dreamville label boss. It’s unclear whether any of these songs will also display on age/sex/location.
“Off the internet until September 9 so here’s my away message to you all 😘. New EP to hold you over until the album, love ya,” Lennox tweeted.

In terms of age/gender/location, the 12-track album will comprise previously released songs “Pressure” and “Hoodie” by Lennox.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recognized “Pressure,” produced by Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, and Elite, as gold in May after achieving 500,000 equivalent sales units.
It also reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, giving Lennox her first No. 1 on this list.
