Steve Lacy has released “Nice Shoes,” his first new single since 2022. The track, written and produced by Lacy, arrives via RCA Records and signals the beginning of his next chapter.

The Grammy-winning artist is also preparing a new album titled Oh Yeah?, which he has described as a project that has taken significant time and planning. The record will once again be self-produced, continuing the approach that defined his earlier work.

Lacy’s last full-length, Gemini Rights, earned him a Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album and included the chart-topping hit “Bad Habit,” which became the biggest success of his career to date.

With “Nice Shoes” now available and Oh Yeah? on the horizon, Steve Lacy is stepping back into the spotlight after a three-year pause between major releases.
