Mariah Carey is officially back. The legendary vocalist has announced the release of her 16th studio album, Here For It All, set to drop Sept. 26 via MARIAH/gamma.
Carey teased the project with a cinematic trailer across social media, offering a first listen to the title track and confirming fan speculation that new music was on the horizon. The album will include 11 songs, among them the lead single “Type Dangerous,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart. A second track, “Sugar Sweet,” arrives soon, continuing the rollout of what is shaping up to be one of Carey’s most cohesive and personal records in years.
According to Carey’s official website, Here For It All is “a rich, genre-blending body of work” that spans eras of her iconic sound while introducing new collaborators and modern influences. The album will be available across multiple physical formats, including exclusive limited-edition vinyl, CDs, and cassettes, giving collectors a variety of options to mark the moment.
Following her critically acclaimed 2018 album Caution, which debuted in the Billboard 200 Top 5, Carey has stayed musically active with releases like the Portrait remix EP and high-profile performances. In 2025, she premiered “Type Dangerous” live at the BET Awards, where she also received the Ultimate Icon Award.
The remix EP for “Type Dangerous,” released earlier this month, features an impressive lineup including Busta Rhymes, Redman, Big Sean, Method Man, Luisa Sonza, and DJ Snake. It continues to gain momentum, currently sitting at No. 5 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
With Here For It All, Carey seems poised to bridge generations once again, crafting a record that honors her legacy while embracing the future. Preorders are now live.
