Actor and singer Algee Smith opens up like never before on his new EP Love Lost, out now via 7 Scope Records.
Across six tracks, Smith peels back the emotional layers of heartbreak, regret, and healing. The project begins with the haunting “Numb,” setting a raw and reflective tone that carries through the EP’s introspective journey.
Even a detour to Atlanta’s infamous “Magic City” can’t mask the hurt. The club-ready bounce of the track hides a deeper sadness, which Smith describes as “a beautiful distraction”—a man’s attempt to lose himself in momentary pleasure.

The standout moment comes with “The Way It Goes,” a stripped-down acoustic ballad that Smith calls his most vulnerable offering yet. “The acoustic vibe really allowed me to access a different level of emotional depth,” he tells.
“This EP is very personal for me. It represents growth, heartbreak, accountability, and vulnerability,” Smith shares. “The timing couldn’t be better. I’ve matured a lot as an artist, and this project displays that.”
Love Lost follows the release of singles “Honest,” “Sinners,” and “Magic City,” each revealing new facets of Smith’s evolving artistry.
