Leven Kali envisions love and loyalty in his new single “Crystal Ball,” his third release of 2025 and a clear signal that something bigger is brewing under his new partnership with Def Jam Recordings.
Co-produced with longtime collaborators Daniel Memmi and Sol Was, “Crystal Ball” fuses the emotional richness of R&B with the raw edge of rock instrumentation. Guitars slice through the track as Kali serenades a longtime crush, promising commitment if given the chance: “It’s the stars inside your eyes that guide me home… And I’m still here and all I want is you.”
The track follows the energetic “Pieces” and “Are U Still,” all of which showcase Kali’s signature blend of smooth vocals and live, groove-heavy production. Together, the singles point toward an upcoming project that’s equal parts intimate and anthemic — though an official album announcement is still under wraps.
“Crystal Ball” also arrives after Kali’s high-profile songwriting credits on Beyoncé’s Renaissance and Cowboy Carter, helping to shape tracks like “Alien Superstar” and the Grammy-winning “Bodyguard.”
If this new string of singles is any clue, Kali’s major-label debut could be one of R&B’s standout moments in 2025.
