Coco Jones is unstoppable. Off a Grammy win, she’s coming back with “You,” the genuine single off her debut album Why Not More?, on April 25. The London on Da Track, Boobie, Phil The Keys, Hero, Banger Slanger, and 2K-produced cut captures the adrenaline rush of having a crush by Jones’ trademark warmth and vocals.
“You” is the fourth single on Why Not More?, following “Here We Go (Uh Oh),” which borrowed from Lenny Williams’ “‘Cause I Love You,” the smooth “Sweep It Up,” and the Future-assisted “Most Beautiful Design.” Each single has demonstrated her to be versatile, with her first one among the most anticipated in R&B.
February’s “Taste,” a sultry reworking of Britney Spears‘ “Toxic,” promoted her daring strategy of transformation. In a recent interview, she stated, “I don’t want to feel like just because people expect me to do one thing that I can’t do anything else.” Her evolving sound guarantees she’s happy to take risks.
Jones will be embarking soon on her Why Not More? Tour, kicking off May 6 in Philadelphia and ending June 26 in Nashville. In September, there is a European tour that includes stops in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and London.
