Pinch of Sol: Who were the key artists, bands, or musical icons that shaped your musical style and inspired you along the way? How have these influences contributed to the music you create today?
Bruklin: Rihanna shaped my musical style because she has always been fierce and unapologetically herself. Her ability to blend genres, push boundaries, and express herself authentically has inspired me to want to do the same with my music. Also, Ariana Grande has always been one of my inspirations. Her ability to maintain that close relationship with her fans while delivering powerful music is a great influence. These artists have both influenced me because I aspire to embody their qualities—Rihanna’s fierce authenticity and Ariana’s close connection with her fans—in my own music and career. They drive me to create music that connects deeply with my listeners while staying true to myself.
