Expressing his gratitude, J. Brown stated, “I’m incredibly thankful to God, my loyal fans, all the radio stations and DJs playing my song, and, of course, my family and team. This is a dream come true, and I’m deeply appreciative.”

This marks J. Brown’s second No. 1 on Mediabase’s R&B radio chart. His previous No. 1 hit, “My Whole Heart,” also saw significant success, topping Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for three weeks in 2023.

On Billboard’s charts, “If You Could See You” has also made strides, moving from No. 3 to No. 2 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, currently led by Lucky Daye’s “That’s You” for a second week.

J. Brown shared his thoughts on the track, saying, “I love this record because of its empowering message for women. It’s about recognizing beauty in oneself, even when it’s not immediately apparent. It’s a reminder of the inner beauty everyone possesses.”

“If You Could See You” and “My Whole Heart” are both featured on J. Brown’s album, The Art of Making Love, released on July 28, 2023, via Mocha Music/SRG-ILS Group. The album also includes the single “Weightless,” featuring Kevin Ross.

To promote his album, J. Brown joined October London as a special guest on The Rebirth of Marvin Tour earlier this year.

J. Brown’s debut album, Chapter & Verse, was released in 2022 and included the single “Don’t Rush” featuring Tank, which peaked at No. 7 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart.

In addition to his musical achievements, J. Brown is set to receive a doctorate of philosophy in humanitarianism on August 25. He announced the news on Instagram, stating, “This is a significant moment for me.
