After releasing “After Hours” in April, Kehlani is back with their new single, “Next 2 U”. The song, co-written with DIXSON and Ant Clemons, features heartfelt lyrics like, “You’re more than the sun, you’re why the sun beams / Your love is high, wide like a river.” Earlier this month, Kehlani hinted at “Next 2 U” on Instagram, describing it as their favorite. Both singles are from Kehlani’s new album, Crash, set to release on June 21 via Atlantic Records.
In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Kehlani discussed their aim to create uplifting music during challenging times, wanting to provide joy and fun through their art.
Crash follows Kehlani’s 2022 album, blue water road. The album featured collaborations with Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Syd, Blxst, Thundercat, and Ambré.
