Honey Bxby is back with more fire, adding a sizzling deluxe edition to her debut EP, 3 Words, 8 Letters. Released on Atlantic Records, this expanded project offers a deeper look into the rising R&B star’s artistry.

The original 3 Words, 8 Letters, released in June 2023, explored the tumultuous dynamics of a love-hate relationship. Honey Bxby explains the title’s origin: “I came up with the idea based on the songs themselves. Some were sassy and romantic, while others were like, ‘I wanna tear your hair out!'”

The six-track standard version included the breakout single “Touchin’,” an infectious groove that samples Seals & Crofts’ “Sweet Green Fields.” Honey Bxby describes her creative process for the song: “I freestyled in the studio, then channeled that energy into lyrics about seeing someone you want at the club, but not for keeps.”

“Touchin'” propelled Honey Bxby into the spotlight, landing her a performance on the 2023 Soul Train Music Awards. “It was surreal,” she admits. “First time on TV, seeing myself perform – wild! Definitely nervous as heck, but an amazing experience.” Following her television debut, she joined rising rapper Sexyy Red on her “Hood Hottest Princess Tour.”

The 3 Words, 8 Letters (Deluxe) edition boasts six new tracks, showcasing the artist’s versatility. “It’s about exploring different sounds,” Honey Bxby explains. “I want listeners to get a wider sense of who I am, beyond the original six songs.”

Honey Bxby delves into the bonus tracks, offering personal insights:

Basic: “This song is a vibe! We created the beat in the studio – fun and spontaneous.”

Violent: “Heartbreak fueled this one. Loving someone who constantly hurts you – it makes you wanna lash out.”

Fkn Him Too: “This song is real talk. A lot of girls won’t admit it, but we’ve all been there. Sometimes you gotta expose the truth, even if it’s messy.”

The deluxe edition also features two remixes of “Touchin’,” one featuring rap legend Busta Rhymes and another with Kaliii. Honey Bxby reflects on the collaborations:
