Grammy-nominated R&B artist SiR has unveiled the itinerary for his upcoming headlining tour, “The Bad Karma Tour.” The 18-city trek kicks off on July 23rd in Silver Spring, Maryland, with his TDE labelmate Zacari joining him as a special guest.
The tour will see SiR performing across North America, making stops in major cities like Philadelphia, Toronto, Atlanta, and San Francisco before culminating in his hometown of Los Angeles on August 21st at the Hollywood Palladium. Presale tickets go live on April 4th, with general public sales following on April 5th.
This tour comes in support of SiR’s critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Heavy, released in March. The 16-track project features previously released singles like “Satisfaction,” the Scribz Riley-assisted “Life Is Good,” “Nothing Even Matters,” “No Evil,” and the Isaiah Rashad collaboration “Karma.”
Heavy also boasts guest appearances from fellow TDE artists Ty Dolla $ign, Anderson .Paak, and Ab-Soul. The album’s title reflects its deeply personal nature, exploring SiR’s struggles with addiction, depression, and anxiety. In a recent interview with Rated R&B, SiR discussed the cathartic experience of channeling his burdens into music: “It’s very gratifying, but I’m still working through it. The tour will be an opportunity to truly let go. There’s still a lot I’m holding onto, but I’m taking things one step at a time.”
While Heavy delves into darker themes, it’s not without moments of optimism. Tracks like “Life is Good” and the closing number “Brighter” showcase SiR’s growth and current perspective. He elaborated on this intention to Rated R&B: “The songs started to feel lighter towards the end of the recording process, which reflects where I’m at in my life. This album is about overcoming challenges. The pain is evident, but I emerged from it. That’s the most important message I want people to take away.”
