Rising R&B talent Inayah returns with a fiery new single, “Hot Sauce,” produced by Killa B and Ali Prawl. The track ignites with Inayah confronting an unfaithful ex, leaving them with scorching lyrics like “I wish you the worst of luck” and “tell your mama I don’t like her neither.”
“It’s like telling them, ‘You missed out and let go of something exceptional,'” Inayah explains of the song’s essence. “‘Hot Sauce’ is pure ‘how dare you?’ energy.”
The heat continues with the accompanying music video, directed by Jerry Morka (watch below).
“Hot Sauce” serves as the follow-up to Inayah’s previous kiss-off anthem, “For The Streets,” which cleverly interpolates Fantasia’s iconic 2006 hit “When I See U.” Both tracks usher in a new era for the singer, following her well-received 2022 EP, Insecure. The eight-song project included the popular “Most Girlz” and the DIXSON-assisted “California Taxi.”
Inayah’s star continues to rise. Last year, she secured her first Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) plaque as her 2019 single “Best Thing” achieved platinum status for surpassing one million equivalent units sold.
