Veteran R&B singer Tank is back on the charts with his new single “Before We Get Started,” featuring rapper Fabolous. The sultry track debuted at No. 26 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart this week.

This isn’t Tank’s only showing on the chart, as Jon B.‘s “Waiting On You,” featuring Tank himself, also enters at No. 30. This marks Tank’s 26th appearance on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. His most recent chart success came with “See Through Love,” featuring Chris Brown, which reached No. 1 in May 2023, becoming the eighth chart-topping single for Tank.

“See Through Love” was one of four No. 1 hits from Tank’s critically acclaimed album R&B Money, which included “I Deserve” (one week at No. 1), “Can’t Let It Show” (two weeks at No. 1), and “Slow” featuring J. Valentine (two weeks at No. 1). Interestingly, “Before We Get Started” is Tank’s first single since declaring R&B Money (released in 2022) as his final album.

Despite the supposed farewell, Tank is gearing up for a major tour. The R&B Money Tour kicks off on May 10th in New Orleans, featuring Keri Hilson and Carl Thomas as special guests. The tour will crisscross the U.S. with stops in Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more before concluding on June 23rd in Las Vegas.
