Chris Brown continues his chart domination with “Sensational,” the Afrobeats-tinged single featuring Nigerian superstars Davido and Lojay. The track has ascended to the top spot on rhythmic radio this week, pushing Jack Harlow’s “Lovin On Me” to the No. 2 position.

Sensational” made a significant leap on the charts, climbing three spots and racking up an impressive 5,711 spins (a 726 increase) according to Mediabase. This translates to an audience impression of a staggering 14.2 million listeners.

This achievement marks Brown’s first No. 1 single on rhythmic radio since his Grammy-nominated “Summer Too Hot” topped the chart in September 2023. Notably, “Sensational” reached the No. 1 spot on urban radio just last week. At the time of writing, it sits comfortably at No. 3 on the airplay format, currently led by Muni Long‘s “Made For Me.”

Brown’s artistic merit received further recognition at the recent 55th NAACP Image Awards, where he bagged two awards for “Sensational.” The song earned him the honors for Outstanding Music Video and Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Contemporary). It’s worth noting he also won Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Traditional) for his appearance on Ciara‘s “How We Roll.”

“Sensational” is a standout track on Brown’s critically acclaimed 11th studio album, 11:11, which dropped in November last year. The project debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart and secured a respectable No. 9 position on the Billboard 200.

Fans can expect even more music from Brown as he gears up to release the deluxe version of 11:11 on April 11. Titled 11:11 (Deluxe), the expanded edition boasts 13 new tracks featuring a star-studded lineup of collaborators including Bryson Tiller, Davido (appearing again), Joyner Lucas, Tee Grizzley, and more.

Later this summer, Brown will embark on the North American leg of The 11:11 Tour, kicking off on June 5 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The tour itinerary includes stops in major cities like Chicago, Brooklyn, Montreal, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, culminating on August 7 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Joining Brown on the road will be a talented trio of female artists: Muni Long, Maeta, and Ayra Starr. Interestingly, this powerhouse group boasts a No. 1 hit on each of the major radio formats (rhythmic, urban, and R&B) this week, showcasing the diverse musical landscape Brown has curated for his tour.
