PartyNextDoor is back with a brand new single, signaling the upcoming release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album. “Real Woman,” released via OVO Sound, finds the Canadian singer basking in the glow of a love interest who seems to have captured his heart.
Produced by the trio of Prep Bijan, Eli Brown, and Noah “40” Shebib, the song simmers with a slow-burning intensity. PartyNextDoor’s signature smooth vocals glide effortlessly over the track, expressing his deep affection. The chorus is a clear standout, with Party singing, “I spent mills on her / And I put trends on her / Think you’re my real woman / Hollywood Berry ain’t got nothin’ on her.”
“Real Woman” serves as the latest taste of what’s to come on P4, due out April 26. The single follows 2023’s “Her Old Friends” and “Resentment,” both of which showcased PartyNextDoor’s introspective songwriting. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, Party hinted at the personal growth reflected in the new album. “Just where I was in my personal life, how motivated I was, it just reminded me of where I was during that sequence,” he shared. “So it naturally had to be PND 4. It had to be. I’m so excited for this album. I’m also excited for how much work I put into it.”
P4 will be the follow-up to 2020’s PARTYNEXTDOOR, which boasted star power in the form of Rihanna on “Believe It,” Drake on “Loyal,” and Bad Bunny on the remix. The album debuted strong, reaching number two on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and number eight on the Billboard 200.
With “Real Woman,” PartyNextDoor offers a glimpse into the sonic direction of P4. The song is a confident declaration of love, setting the stage for what promises to be a personal and impactful album.
