R&B aficionados, rejoice! SiR, the soulful crooner, has officially announced his long-awaited third album, Heavy, set to grace our ears on March 22 via Top Dawg Entertainment.

Fans can anticipate an array of tracks, including previously unveiled gems such as “Satisfaction,” “Life Is Good” featuring Scribz Riley, “Nothing Even Matters,” and “No Evil.” Adding to the anticipation, SiR treats listeners to the latest offering, “Karma” featuring Isiah Rashad, available today.

Heavy follows in the footsteps of SiR’s acclaimed sophomore album, Chasing Summer, which made its mark in 2019 under the TDE/RCA Records banner. Boasting collaborations with industry heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, and Jill Scott, Chasing Summer soared to No. 5 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, solidifying SiR’s position as a formidable force in contemporary R&B.

In a candid interview with Rated R&B back in June 2022, SiR provided insight into the thematic underpinnings of his forthcoming album. Reflecting on the evolution from Chasing Summer to Heavy, he remarked, “It’s different for me. It’s not Chasing Summer. We did a great job being in the moment with [Chasing Summer] and trying to give the fans something that was me at the time. In this next project, we’re doing the same thing, but in a different way.”

With a renewed sense of purpose and introspection, SiR hinted at Heavy‘s exploration of mental health and personal growth. “This project focuses a lot on my mental health. It talks about two sides of my life and how they intertwine,” he divulged. “I went through some stuff and had to figure out what I wanted. I think we do a good job of painting a very vivid picture of the duality of being an artist and a regular, everyday man. I know there’s music on here that people need to hear.”

The anticipation for Heavy builds on SiR’s recent musical endeavors, including collaborations on the Creed III: The Soundtrack with “Lay Up” featuring Syd and the uplifting anthem “Work Hard Play Hard” alongside his brother D Smoke. Notably, his collaboration with Robert Glasper and Alex Isley on “Back To Love” earned a nomination for Best R&B Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards.

As the release date draws near, fans eagerly await the unveiling of Heavy, poised to experience SiR’s evocative storytelling and soul-stirring melodies in this eagerly anticipated musical journey.
