Philadelphia’s iconic Roots Picnic is set to make its return on June 1-2, 2024, at The Mann in Fairmount Park, promising two days of unforgettable performances from a diverse array of R&B, soul, and hip-hop acts.
Headlining the festival is none other than Lil Wayne, joined by The Roots, as they celebrate the rap legend’s hometown of New Orleans. Adding to the New Orleans flair are PJ Morton and Trombone Shorty, both hailing from the vibrant city.
Jill Scott, a Philly native, will also take the stage as a co-headliner, expressing her excitement for her inaugural Roots Picnic headlining performance.
The lineup continues to impress with the inclusion of legendary artists such as Babyface, André 3000, and a special appearance by Victoria Monét. Other notable performers include Adam Blackstone’s Legacy Experience featuring Fantasia and Muni Long, Robert Glasper & Yebba, Marsha Ambrosius, and rising stars like Tyla, Leon Thomas, and Kenya Vaun.
