Grammy-winning songstress Muni Long has unveiled the official video for her latest single, “Made For Me,” featuring the talented Luke James. Directed by Des Gray and Trinidad James, the cinematic visual brings a sci-fi twist to the narrative.

In this futuristic clip, Long takes charge, orchestrating a plan to construct a replica of an ideal man, portrayed by Luke James, who happens to be already spoken for. The video navigates a storyline where Long doesn’t disrupt a happy home, leaving viewers intrigued about the unfolding events. Long shares her perspective on the video, expressing, “I wanted to have fun with this video and really think outside of the box. It’s my little nod to A.I. mixed with Frankenstein. If you want to find the perfect person in a limited dating pool, you might just have to create them! It’s only science fiction for now, but with how fast technology is changing, could this be our reality someday?”

Currently positioned at No. 2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart dated Jan. 20, “Made For Me” has been steadily gaining recognition. The track, produced by Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, and Jordan XL, reached No. 1 at R&B radio in December, marking Long’s inaugural chart-topper in this airplay format.

“Made For Me” serves as the lead single from Long’s upcoming album, set to release later this year under Supergiant Records/Def Jam Recordings. The untitled project follows her 2022 release, Public Displays of Affection: The Album, which included her Grammy-winning ballad, “Hrs & Hrs.” In June 2023, Long treated fans to the Usher-assisted “Hrs & Hrs (Remix).”
