Grammy-nominated artist Eric Bellinger is setting the tone for 2024 with his sultry new single, “La Perla.” Produced by the talented KP Wentworth and B HAM, the track showcases Bellinger’s signature smooth style, blending R&B with an intimate narrative.
“La Perla,” named after the renowned lingerie brand, is a seductive serenade where Bellinger indulges in the sensual pleasures of the bedroom. The lyrics paint a vivid picture: “Girl, you know the drill / You know how I feel / I can hear your body callin’ / Tellin’ me how bad you want it.” This track is a testament to Bellinger’s ability to craft songs that are both catchy and deeply evocative.
Discussing “La Perla,” Eric Bellinger shared, “At this point, I’m just having fun! Doin’ me! Unapologetically my most authentic self. Singing about my life and my truth. Only worried and focused on what feels good to me. No politics. No boundaries.” He further expressed the track as an embodiment of his current artistic phase, highlighting the evolution of his classic sound.
Accompanying the release is a music video featuring Bellinger and his wife, LaMyia Good-Bellinger. The video transitions from a nightclub performance to a more intimate setting, aligning perfectly with the song’s theme. Bellinger’s real-life romance adds an authentic touch to the visual narrative, as he remarked, “We rarely let people in, but when we POP out, it’s special.”
“La Perla,” co-written with Corey Cooper and producer B HAM, follows Bellinger’s previous release, “All For Me.” Both songs are set to appear on his forthcoming album, “The Rebirth 3,” scheduled for release on February 9. This album marks the continuation of a series that started with “The Rebirth 1” in 2014 and was followed by the second installment in 2019.
As anticipation builds for “The Rebirth 3,” Bellinger is also preparing for “The Rebirth Tour” featuring special guest Zae France. The tour is set to commence on January 31 in Fresno, California, and will conclude on March 17 in Las Vegas, Nevada, promising to be a showcase of Bellinger’s evolution as an artist and performer.
