Ya Boi L.I.V.E

In his latest release, “Roll The Dice,” Ya Boi L.I.V.E channels a powerful message about seizing life’s unpredictable opportunities. His journey into music exemplifies this philosophy, highlighting the inherent risks of the industry and his audacious decision to pursue a career within it.

Ya Boi L.I.V.E ‘s narrative is one of defiance and resilience, having overcome significant personal challenges since leaving home at 16. His experiences, marked by both legal and moral adversities, have shaped his understanding of success as a continuous climb, rather than a singular destination.

Following the releases; “The End,” “Ride The Wave,” “Believe Me,” “I Don’t C Nobody,” and “What Chu Working Wit,” the track stands out for its emphasis on self-belief and mastering one’s destiny, themes rooted in Ya Boi L.I.V.E ‘s personal turning point when his initial music received overwhelming positive feedback.

Reflecting on the lessons learned, he underscores the illusory nature of the industry, where perceptions often overshadow reality. Investing in oneself emerges as a central theme, with Ya Boi advocating for self-reliance and the courage to take risks.

With “Roll The Dice,” Ya Boi L.I.V.E sets a motivational tone for listeners, encouraging them to embrace their paths with confidence. He teases more music and surprises in the pipeline, maintaining an air of mystery about his future projects while promising exciting developments for his fans.

“Roll The Dice” vibrates with a profound insight about seizing life’s unpredictable moments. Could you share a slice of your own journey that sparked this philosophy in your track?

I would say when I made the decision to do music that’s one example of me taking a chance, because the music business is a tricky game and no matter how talented you are, success at a high level isn’t necessarily guaranteed, but I rolled the dice now I’m here.

How has your life reflected a spirit of defiance against authority and triumphing over challenges? At what point did you realize you had ‘made it’?

I moved out of my mother’s house when I was 16, and moved to another state hustling and doing all kinds of illegal things not knowing anything about how life really works, so I had to learn a lot on my own. I went through a lot of ups and downs, where the downs at certain points could’ve changed my life for the worse, so much so that we probably wouldn’t be doing this interview if they did. So just the fact that I learned from my mistakes and have progressed; that to me is making it! Each level you reach on your climb up the ladder of success in life is making it.

The track emphasizes self-belief and taking control of one’s destiny. Was there a specific turning point in your career that epitomized this for you?

When I wrote and recorded my first real set of songs with original production and released them, the feedback was so positive and that’s what I wanted of course, but it still was surprising and motivating at the same time.

In this single, you touch on gaining wisdom outside the classroom. What’s the most crucial lesson you’ve picked up in the industry that you wish you knew when you first started?

A lot of it is smoke and mirrors. You know it’s like perception is everything; how people see and think of you! So some people are really good at making you believe and feed into the things they say and do even if it’s somewhat false, but hey whatever works it’s the entertainment business right!

Your track echoes the concept of investing in oneself. How did you come to embrace this mindset personally, and what has been the key motivator that encouraged you to take risks and believe in your own potential?

If you don’t believe in yourself, bet on yourself, how do you expect someone else to do it. I put myself out there the best way I knew how in the beginning and I always invested in myself; financially spending my own money just trying to figure it out, you know, but you have to be active in some way, just try to make sense of what’s around you, because everyone has different cards to play with. You will need some money to start, but that’s in any business, not just music.

What were the major hurdles you encountered on your musical path, and how did you navigate them, evolving from grassroots beginnings to mainstream acclaim?

Losing people along the way from relatives like my mother, and both grandmothers, close friends that I made music with, those types of things were mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting, but as hard as the times were, the music helped me deal with everything I was going through.

How do you believe “Roll The Dice” breaks new ground or brings fresh elements to the genre? Are there more singles lined up for release soon, and do you have any unexpected treats in store for your fans?

“Roll The Dice” is a fresh way to encourage a way of thinking and being, if a person wants to succeed at achieving their goals. And I definitely have more music on the way and new merch for the new year, along with a few other moves in the works. I’m keeping hush hush for now, so stay tuned!
