In a thrilling announcement for R&B enthusiasts, rising sensation Tyla gears up for her musical introduction with the unveiling of her self-titled debut album, set to hit the airwaves on March 1, 2024, under the banner of Epic Records.

In an exclusive chat with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Tyla explained the significance of the album’s self-titled nature, stating, “For now, my introduction to the world, I just wanted to be clean, Tyla. I want people to get to know my name and get to know my sound because my first project is going to be Tyla in music form. So, I felt like self-titled would’ve been the best way to go.”

To satiate the appetite of her eager fanbase leading up to the album release, Tyla treats them to a tantalizing five-track bundle, featuring her Grammy-nominated single “Water.” The track not only holds a firm grip on the No. 10 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart but also maintains its stronghold at No. 1 for the fourth consecutive week on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart. The bundle also includes the recently unveiled “Water (Remix)” featuring Travis Scott.

Among the fresh additions is the upbeat “On and On,” a track where Tyla joyfully sings about relishing a good time at a gathering and being unwilling to call it a night. In “Truth or Dare,” Tyla confronts the complexities of a love interest who seeks reconciliation as she ascends to stardom. Meanwhile, “Butterflies” takes on an acoustic flavor, marking the end of a relationship.

The spotlight remains on “Water,” nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards, scheduled to air live on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

As excitement builds for Tyla’s debut album, fans can presave Tyla and indulge in the enchanting trio of new songs, alongside the chart-topping “Water.”
