Rising R&B artist Teenear has teamed up with fellow emerging artist Ronnie V to deliver a new holiday track titled “Lonely At Christmas.” Released under Slip-N-Slide Records and produced by Donovan Paul, the song offers a contemporary reinterpretation of The Emotions’ classic “What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas?”

In the opening lines, Ronnie V pleads with a former lover for reconciliation, expressing patience and longing for their return. Teenear, in the second verse, presents conflicting emotions, initially asserting her desire for peace and solitude but later admitting missing the person. The song captures the nuanced dynamics of relationships in the modern era, acknowledging complications but emphasizing the avoidance of loneliness during the holiday season.

Teenear shared her perspective on the song, stating, “For me, this song truly captures the dynamics of many relationships in our generation. Things often feel ‘too complicated,’ but ultimately, no one wants to end up lonely on Christmas.”

Accompanying the release is a music video directed by Duane Gordon, providing visual storytelling for the emotions conveyed in the song.

“Lonely At Christmas” follows Teenear’s previous release, the “Come See Me (Pt. 2)” remix featuring K-Camp, which came out in July. Both versions of “Come See Me” were produced by Ayo N Keyz, known for their work with artists like Cardi B, Chris Brown, and K. Michelle.

You can stream “Lonely At Christmas” by Teenear featuring Ronnie V on various music platforms, and the official music video is available for viewing.
