Grammy-nominated maestro Raheem DeVaughn makes a soulful return with his latest EP, Fall in Love, released under New Era Soul Records.
Timed perfectly for cuffing season, the EP offers listeners heartstring-tugging tunes, providing the ideal soundtrack for intimate moments. Fall in Love features reimagined versions of select tracks from DeVaughn’s previous project, “The Summer of Love,” released on June 21.
This enchanting EP includes collaborations with notable artists such as rappers ADÉ and Scienze, along with spoken word artist Ra Brown.
In the romantic ballad “Let’s Fall In Love,” DeVaughn pours his heart out, expressing his feelings to a potential partner. He weaves a dream of love, singing, “Everybody needs someone to leave / Darling, it’s you I’ve been dreaming of / And I wanna be the one you love,” in this quiet storm track.
Fall In Love is a testament to DeVaughn’s commitment to his loyal fanbase. Fusing Soul and R&B with a futuristic ’90s nostalgia, the EP serves as an ode to his fans and a continuation of the acclaimed “Summer of Love.” DeVaughn shares, “This new release aims to appeal to all of the senses and to have listeners and fans alike reminded that love is the highest vibration.”
As a follow-up to “Summer of Love,” DeVaughn’s “Fall in Love” EP continues his exploration of love’s diverse facets. Earlier this year, he collaborated with the production team The Colleagues and saxophonist Vandell Andrew for the album “Love Euphoria,” which featured a notable appearance by Goapele on “Love Around the Clock.”
Looking ahead, DeVaughn is set to embark on the Fall in Love Tour, relaunching on December 9 in Napa Valley, California. The self-proclaimed Love King of Soul and R&B will enchant audiences in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Boston, with additional tour dates.
