R&B veteran Jon B is gearing up to bless fans with his much-anticipated studio album, Waiting on You, set to release in 2024. This upcoming project, in its final stages of completion, marks his first full-length album of new material since the 2012 release, “Comfortable Swag.”
Waiting on You boasts an impressive lineup of 11 tracks, featuring guest appearances by Donell Jones, Alex Isley, Tank, and Rick Ross. While it’s yet to be confirmed if the collaboration with Jones includes their 2019 hit “Understand,” fans can expect a stellar musical journey from this ensemble cast.

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Jon B has dropped the title track Waiting on You, a soulful creation co-written and co-produced with the talented Tank, who also lends his vocal prowess to the song.
“‘Waiting on You’ describes the feeling of anticipating love in your life, the seasons of waiting,” explains Jon B. “No matter the timing, even when it seems like it’s taking forever, you have to be patient for your partner in life. Not giving up makes it all worth the wait.“
This collaboration with Tank is a reunion of sorts, as the two artists previously joined forces in 2004 on Stronger Everyday, the titular song from Jon B.’s album released that same year.
Waiting on You is Jon B.’s first release since the 2019 track “Priceless,” and while it’s yet to be confirmed if the latter will appear on the upcoming album, it’s clear that Jon B is ready to offer a refreshing continuation of his artistry and musical legacy.
Scheduled to be “a continuation of his artistic expression and musicianship that has captivated the hearts of R&B enthusiasts since his debut album, Bonafied,” Jon B’s Waiting on You is undoubtedly a highly anticipated musical event.
