R&B artist Inayah has reached a significant milestone in her career as her popular 2019 single, “Best Thing,” has officially achieved platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This prestigious recognition comes after the song surpassed one million equivalent units in sales.
“Best Thing” was produced by Aristocrats and originally featured on Inayah’s debut album, S.O.L.A.R., which was released in December 2019. This track stands as Inayah’s first certified song release, previously earning gold certification in October 2021 when it achieved 500,000 equivalent units in sales.

The song has also gained immense popularity on streaming platforms, particularly Spotify, where it has accumulated over 80 million streams, cementing its status as a fan favorite. The official music video for “Best Thing,” directed by Michelle Parker, has also played a significant role in its success, amassing over 60 million views on YouTube.
Inayah‘s career has continued to flourish, and in the past year, she released her latest project, Insecure. Leading up to its release, she unveiled several singles, including “Always Something” and “Most Girlz.” Notably, Insecure featured a collaboration with Oscar-nominated and Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Dixson, who appeared on the track “California Taxi” and co-wrote “Always Something.”
