Emerging R&B sensation Grace Weber presents her newest musical offering of 2023, the sultry song “Intimate,” produced by Akeel Henry. It is her second single of the year, crafting an alluring narrative of romance and vulnerability.

The seductively smooth song “Intimate” beckons a lover to indulge in quality moments, set against a backdrop of intimate ambiance that transcends physical spaces. The song artfully touches upon the complex emotions related to intimacy, fear, and anxiety.

Weber shared with Rated R&B that “‘Intimate’ is about wanting to get close to someone, letting all your walls down, and then getting scared that they’ll leave.” She said, “That’s what the second half of the song is…like being aware of my anxieties and ‘I swear I’ll try to be stronger, but my mind wins the race, and I can’t slow it down, would you stick around til’ the darkness, fades away?”

She goes on to articulate, “Ultimately, it’s about the layers of just getting extremely close and knowing you can’t get “unclose” when you become that intimate with someone. It’s always the space you two exist in, even if you don’t end up together.”

Weber also had another 2023 release, “Lonely,” an empowering self-love anthem delivered with confidence. Her take on the song, “’Lonely’ is about being confident to love yourself. I think sometimes there can be a little fear or timidness around loving yourself — or you feel like you don’t deserve it,” according to an interview with Rated R&B.

Her new songs, “Intimate” and “Lonely,” along with 2022’s “Insincere,” are set to be featured on Weber’s eagerly awaited second album, scheduled for release this fall.

This upcoming album is the follow-up to her 2021 debut, “A Beautiful Space.” The first album received a deluxe edition reissue later that year and boasted collaborations with well-known artists like Chance the Rapper, Westside Boogie, Sun Scott, and Nico Segal.
