Josh Levi, an up-and-coming R&B singer, has just released his latest single titled “Ego,” marking his first new music in ten months. The track was co-written by Levi, Trey Campbell, and Anthony “TONE” Jones, who also produced it. Levi described “Ego” as a song about confidence and knowing your power to get what you want.
In the opening verse, Levi sings about wanting someone to wonder and guess if he is interested in them. “Ego” follows his 2022 EP, Disc Two, which included hit songs such as “NASA,” “Vices,” and “Don’t They (Remix),” featuring Normani.
In an interview with Rated R&B, Levi revealed how the remix with Normani came to be. They met on set while filming the video for the original version of “Don’t They,” and she asked him to send her the song. They wrote it together, produced it, and brought it to life.
Disc Two is described by Levi as a coming-of-age project, where he expresses his raw and honest feelings about his experiences in life, relationships, career, family, and mind. He supported the EP on The Vices Tour from August to September 2022, performing in various cities across the country.
In January, Levi released a performance visual for “Nosebleed,” another track from Disc Two.
