Diana Ross, the iconic singer and former member of The Supremes, has announced her upcoming headlining tour, The Music Legacy Tour. The tour will begin on June 9 at Pechanga Resort & Casino – Pechanga Summit in Temecula, California, and will continue with performances in various US cities, including San Diego, Reno, Atlantic City, and more. The tour will conclude on July 2 at Chautauqua Amphitheater in Chautauqua, New York.
In a recent social media post, Ross expressed her excitement for the tour, saying, “I’m delighted to announce The Music Legacy Tour 2023: a celebration of my greatest #1 hits! I’m coming home to the US to sing hit after hit from my solo career & my time with The Supremes. It’s going to be a love fest.”
Ross, who has six solo No. 1 hits to her name on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, also has a remarkable legacy as a member of The Supremes. The group tallied 12 No. 1 Hot 100 hits, second only to The Beatles, who have 20. Their biggest hit was “Love Child” from their 1968 album of the same name, which topped the Hot 100 chart for two weeks.
Ross’ upcoming tour follows her U.S. and UK/European dates last year as part of her Thank U Tour, which supported her 25th studio album Thank You. The album, released in November 2021, was Ross’ first in 15 years and contained 13 songs, all of which she co-wrote, including the singles “All Is Well” and “If The World Just Danced.” The album received critical acclaim and earned Ross a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 65th Grammy Awards, her first nomination in 40 years. Although the award ultimately went to Michael Bublé’s Higher, the nomination was a testament to Ross’ enduring impact on music.
