Chlöe Bailey’s new single “How Does It Feel” featuring Chris Brown has reached the top ten. For the week of March 11, the Hitmaka and Cardiak-produced song debuts at No. 7 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales list. The list ranks “the week’s most popular downloaded tracks, determined by sales statistics as collated by Luminate,” according to Billboard.
This is not Chlöe’s first appearance in the top ten of this chart. Her singles “Have Mercy” from 2021 and “Treat Me” from 2022 both hit No. 1; her Latto-assisted single “For the Night” came close, landing at No. 12. She was also successful as part of the duo Chloe x Halle. Their gold-selling song “Do It” peaked at No. 4 in 2020, while “Forgive Me” peaked at No. 7.
Returning to “How Does It Feel,” the song debuts at No. 17 on the Hot R&B Songs list and No. 20 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales rankings. Although “How Does It Feel” fell short of the Hot 100 this week, there is still hope for it to climb, since it debuted at No. 10 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 list. The song has yet to be heard on radio, which might help it climb the charts.
“How Does It Feel” is now trending at No. 1 on Chlöe’s Spotify profile, with over five million listens. The song has received more streams than its predecessor, “Pray It Away,” which was released in January (four million). The songs “How Does It Feel” and “Pray It Away” are taken from Chlöe’s highly anticipated solo debut album, In Pieces, which will be released on March 31 by Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records.
The previously released tracks “Have Mercy,” “Treat Me,” and “For the Night” by Chlöe will not be included on the album.
