Nia Archives Drops Eclectic New EP ‘SUNRISE BANG UR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL’
Nia Archives has been making waves in the electronic scene with her genre-bending style, and her latest release only solidifies her position as one of the most exciting triple-threats in the industry. The Los Angeles-based artist just dropped her newest EP, ‘SUNRISE BANG UR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL,’ and it’s nothing short of incredible.
The EP starts with “Baianá,” which was released back in September 2022 and immediately received praise from fans for its jungle-inspired beat and eclectic vocal chants. The track sets the tone for the rest of the EP, which is filled with high-energy beats and unique sounds.
“That’s Tha Way Life Goes” is a lighthearted, vocal-led tune that finds its flow among bright guitar chords and a filtered breakbeat, while “No Need 2 Be Sorry, Call Me? (ft. Maverick Sabre)” takes a more sentimental approach to the production with deeper lyrical content.
The last three tracks of the EP flow seamlessly into one another, showcasing Nia’s ability to flip simple drum and bass, jungle, and garage beats into uniquely inspiring entities. Each track takes on a new shape as a part of Nia’s vision for the EP as a collective unit.
In a statement about the release of her EP, Nia Archives shared, “This project has been the soundtrack of my life over the past 8 months, comforting me through many comeups and comedowns, countless Ubers and plane journeys, and little solo boogies in my kitchen. SBUHATW is my interpretation of new gen junglism, and I really hope it resonates with you guys.”
