While a John Wick crossover picture is unlikely, the franchise will shortly release two offshoot movies. Ballerina will take place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. Ana de Armas plays Rooney, a dancer and assassin who embarks on a revenge-fueled adventure after her family is murdered. Veteran John Wick actors Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Angelica Huston are all set to return, with Reeves resuming his role as Wick. The film is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell.
Keanu Reeves, star of John Wick: Chapter 4, discusses the possibilities of a John Wick/The Equalizer crossover including himself and Denzel Washington. The forthcoming film in the John Wick trilogy will see Reeves reprise his role as the eponymous figure, with Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, and Bill Skarsgrd, as Wick discovers a method to overthrow the High Table following the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. After that, the John Wick franchise will branch out with Len Wiseman’s Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, and Peacock’s The Continental.
During a Reddit Q&A session to promote the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, Reeves reacted to a fan inquiry regarding an Equalizer crossover. A fan inquired whether it had ever been suggested for Reeves and Washington to feature in a film “…Ha…no…that would be crazy. Crazy good!” Reeves remarked of a “John Wick x Equalizer” crossover picture.
