On February 12 in Arizona’s State Farm Stadium, Rihanna’s performance at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show finally took place. You can watch the entire performance here. In her first live performance in five years, she began the act with “Bitch Better Have My Money” while floating on a translucent platform.

Rihanna wore a red jumpsuit with a red bustier underneath while performing. Some individuals have speculated that she could be pregnant based on her silhouette. Her agent later confirmed that she was in fact pregnant.

Throughout the whole performance, a group of dancers surrounded the vocalist and were decked out in sweatpants, white hooded jackets, and sunglasses. The dancers began the song on their own floating stages before swarming Rihanna in timed choreography. 

The translucent platforms shifted positions to create a variety of shapes, including a v, a diagonal line, and more. In order to finish the performance, Rihanna went back to her own stage and flew into the sky. She declared last week during a pre-Bowl press conference that she is:

“Open to exploring, discovering, creating things that are new, things that are different, things that are off, weird, might never make sense to my fans. I just want to play; I want to have fun with music.”
