According to Tim Allen, Buzz, and Woody will both be back for Toy Story 5. During the Disney quarterly results conference with investors, Bob Iger announced that Toy Story 5 development is now in progress.
Since the start of the franchise in 1995, Allen has paired up with Tom Hanks’ Woody to voice the recognizable Buzz Lightyear character in the major movies. Chris Evans played the spaceman in the 2022 Disney spinoff movie about Buzz Lightyear, but the movie didn’t garner the usual Toy Story plaudits and went poorly at the box office.
See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond! pic.twitter.com/bwRzE487Vi

Former franchise voice actor Tim Allen appears to indicate that Buzz and Woody will return for Toy Story 5 in a tweet.
His apparent affirmation comes amid worries that, given how Toy Story 4 concluded, the two main toys would not be included in subsequent plots. In addition to future sequels for Frozen and Zootopia, Toy Story 5 was also revealed. Although there hasn’t been any casting news revealed, Allen says in his tweet,
“See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond!”
