The video for Mario’s new single, “Like Her Too,” has been released. The video was co-directed by Mario and Master Sterling. In it, Mario and his chocolate sweetheart are shown enjoying a date together while outside.

Despite the sun setting, Mario and his date don’t want to terminate their encounter. To find out what happens next, you’ll need to watch the entire video. The final single released by Mario in 2017 was “Like Her Too.” He released the sensual tune in late December with co-production from SprngBrk and Blwyrmnd. Since then, it has received about 797,000 Spotify streams.

Mario tweeted that “Like Her Too” is “a song inspired by duality.” He added, “A woman loving every part of herself without judgment is where her freedom starts. As a man, I support her wild untamed self while protecting her innocence.”

“Main One,” his first hit from the previous year, included Tory Lanez. Due to the nature of the federal allegations against Lanez, who has since been found guilty for his alleged role in the July 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, the track, which many found to be controversial, was not actively marketed.

Despite the internet commotion, “Main One” has received close to 3.9 million Spotify listens since its release on July 15, 2022. Mario released two songs in 2021, including “Get Back” and “Luxury Love,” which were both assisted by Chris Brown. Both came after his 2020 EP Closer to Mars, which came after his 2018 album Dancing Shadows.

Before the release of Dancing Shadows, Mario had not put out an album since 2009’s D.N.A. Gucci Mane and Sean Garrett appeared on the tune “Break Up” from the latter album.
