Fans are upset because of the Henry Cavill-Liam Hemsworth switch in casting, but perhaps the fan-favorite Jaskier can bring us some hope for the upcoming season three of the popular Witcher series. It has been hinted that the bard might have one or more love interests in the new season, which is some intriguing detail indeed!
Screen Rant said: “Netflix’s hit fantasy series primarily follows Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), a magically enhanced monster hunter whose fate is intertwined with that of Princess Ciri (Freya Allen). Frequently accompanying Geralt on his travels across the Continent are Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), a quarter-elf sorceress, and the traveling bard Jaskier, who is played by Joey Batey. The jovial bard also appears in the new prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin, which was released December 25 on Netflix.”
“For me when I first read the scripts, they were the best scripts that I think we’ve done so far. There are some things from the books that I think fans are going to really, really enjoy. And some really lovely key moments that are very epic. Jaskier also gets a little bit of a love interest – maybe more than one,” Joey Batey said.
